Senior Procurement Specialist (8+ years)

Overview

About the role

Run procurement end to end and protect margin.

Location: Nigeria, with project/site assignments.

Employment type: Full Time.
Closing date: 15 November 2026.

Hands-on experience required

  • Has personally run procurement end to end, from RFQ to PO to delivery, not only supported it.
  • Able to build bid comparisons and justify awards with data.

Selection process

The practical assessment for this role will cover a bid comparison.

Specific Skills
  • 8+ years in project-driven procurement.
  • Strong negotiation record and the ability to justify spend with data.
  • Accruals and cost management as they relate to commitments and receipts.
  • Bid evaluation and price benchmarking.
  • Contracts and commercial terms.
  • Cost and commitment reporting.
  • ERP and Excel.
  • CIPS or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be tech-savvy, confident using relevant digital tools and systems, and quick to learn new technology.
  • Must demonstrate initiative, sound commercial judgement and the ability to anticipate issues, identify discrepancies and solve problems proactively.
Responsible For
  • Run procurement end to end: requisition, RFQ, tender, bid comparison, negotiation and award.
  • Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor packages.
  • Recommend awards with data-backed justification.
  • Raise and manage POs, track delivery and supplier performance.
  • Keep commitments and GRNs current to support accrual accuracy.
  • Resolve delivery, quality and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor records for audit.
  • Escalate supply and cost risks early.
